THE BOATHOUSE RESTAURANT

is a family-owned fine-dining restaurant on the shore (as you see) of Barker’s island, Superior Bay,

Lake Superior. Our dad designed the building. Our mom is Mrs. B.

 

We present great food, a real value, in a beautiful and romantic setting. Weather permitting, our deck is so close to the water, it’s almost like being afloat on terra firma. Some nights, there is real magic there. Boat over and tie up at our dock!

 

With the great food, we present selected beers, wines selected for excellence and value (click through to our wine list, at right), and your favorite cocktails. We make the best martinis, manhattans, margaritas, cosmopolitans, and old-fashioneds in the Twin Ports, bar none! Ditto for our mojitos, when we have fresh mint! Please check our winelist! Of the nearly 60 wines we currently offer, many are rated ‘excellent’ or better by respected, third-party raters, and none cost more than $146, our Caymus 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Special Selection. They include over 32 varieties of grapes.

 

Our service is affable, and interested. Our Twin Ports community may be the largest small town in the world. We’ll treat you right, because we hope to see you here tomorrow.

 

We have no dress code beyond the legal one: no shirt, no shoes, no service.
